Department Training Series

ISSS Faculty and Scholar Advising Team developed a new series of micro-training videos for departments. The micro-training videos and ISSS workshops can help visa coordinators learn and retain specific information quickly, one step at a time. It will be helpful to those new to immigration as well as those with experience, as it will provide a detailed review of the e-forms and application process.

The H-1B training videos cover the overview of prevailing wage and actual wage determination and step-by-step instructions for iTerp request e-forms.

Extensions & Reporting Changes in Working Conditions 

During this workshop, we will cover J-1 & H-1B extension requests in iTerp and proper reporting to ISSS in the case of a change in working conditions or program objectives. This includes processing timelines, maintaining status during extension periods and e-form tips.

This workshop will provide a comprehensive review of the H-1B application process. We will cover prevailing wage & actual wage level determination, Labor Condition Application (LCA) & off-site work locations, required documents, credentials evaluation, processing timelines and international travel.
