International Community at Maryland
Our multicultural community fuels our excellence.
To Our International Terps
At Maryland, community is a core pillar of our mission to drive positive impact—we recognize that our campus gains its strength through the unique and diverse perspectives of our students. Our international Terps are no exception, with over 5,000 students and 1,300 international faculty and scholars—we are proud to embody what it means to be a global campus, and it wouldn't be possible without you.
We Provide the Support You Need
Our hub for international student and scholar support, International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS), champions the contributions made by international students and scholars that enrich our classrooms, campus and community. ISSS serves as the primary point of contact for your needs as an international Terp, ready to answer your questions about visa and immigration status, and building your network at Maryland.
You Reach Your Highest Potential
From the time that you first walk onto our campus to the time you walk the stage, we empower our students to hone their skills and change the world. We can't wait to help you get started on this new and exciting path on your journey, and we're ready to walk with you—every step of the way.
It's a privilege to have you join us
