International Terp Career Development

The International Terp Career Development program is designed for international students and early-career scholars, providing them with the skills and resources necessary for success in their professional journeys. This initiative is a collaboration among various university units, including the International Student & Scholar Services Office, Engineering Career Services, Professional and Career Services for Ph.D students, the University Career Center, School of Public Health Career Center, and the Smith Career Services.
Participants in the program will engage in workshops, networking events, and webinars that cover topics such as resume building, interview skills, job search strategies, visa compliance information, and cultural competence in the workplace. By fostering professional development and a sense of community, the International Terp Career Development offers participants valuable skills, support, and confidence as they navigate their career journeys alongside peers, mentors, and industry professionals.
Writing an effective resume is crucial for securing interviews in the US. This workshop reviews the fundamental information that should be included, proper formatting, how to make yourself stand out, and common mistakes students make. International Graduate & Undergraduate Students are Welcome!
