Welcome Back Academic Colleagues,Happy New Year! It’s good to be back on campus from our winter break. ISSS is pleased to welcome two new Program Specialists to our ISSS Faculty/Scholar Advising Team, Ash Reynolds and Elizabeth Floyd. Kislay Parashar became involved in student leadership at the University of Maryland as soon as he stepped foot in the U.S., becoming the Student Government Association’s international student representative at the start of his freshman year. Three years and many leadership roles later, he serves as the first international student to become SGA president in UMD history.

J-1 Scholars & Faculty
ISSS is responsible to work with campus departments to invite exchange visitors to the University of Maryland. Our office is authorized to issue the Form DS-2019, the document used to obtain the J-1 visa.
