Wrenna Dorrer

ISSS Faculty & Scholar Advisor (A-J)

Wrenna Dorrer joined the University of Maryland as a Faculty and Scholar Advisor in January 2025. Before serving scholars on campus, she worked with F-1 international students as a DSO and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, BridgeUSA J-1 program.

She earned her M.A. in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University, and holds a B.A. in International Studies from West Virginia University. Wrenna is a 2019 recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship and interned with the U.S. Department of State at U.S. Embassy Singapore. In 2023, she participated in a Gilman Alumni Seminar focused on refugees & migration in Amman, Jordan.

In her free time she likes to visit national parks and hike, try new recipes and travel. Wrenna has visited 25 countries across Europe, South East Asia and the Middle East, and speaks German and English.
