Sofia Asuncion

Sofia is a rising senior pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. She joined GLI with an interest in fostering international exchange and global collaboration. As a ClarkLEADER, she mentored incoming students and helped create a welcoming campus environment. After studying abroad in Madrid, she gained firsthand insight into the value of intercultural learning and engagement. Sofia is excited to support GLI’s mission by helping connect students across cultures and expand global learning opportunities at UMD.
