Dr. Moreno is a seasoned international educator with broad experience in program leadership, global engagement, and teaching. She oversees Engagement and Inclusion Programs in the Office of International Students & Scholar Services at the University of Maryland, where she develops initiatives that support and connect the university’s international community. A 2025 recipient of the Fulbright Korea International Education Administrators Award, Moreno has directed numerous study abroad programs in Latin America and Spain and consulted for the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute. She previously served as Associate Dean of International Education and visiting faculty at Washington College and has taught Spanish language, Latin American Literature, and Culture at institutions including Middlebury College Language Schools, American University, and the University of Maryland. She earned a B.A. in Public Communications from the Universidad de Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park.
