Lei manages the overall operations of various programs for Global Learning Initiatives (GLI). She works directly with instructors on scheduling, enrollment and course management of Global Classrooms courses, advises students on course registration and program application, manages the International Education Scholarship application process, collaborates with the communications team to promote GLI programs, and assists the business team with program financial management. She also serves as program manager for the Office of China Affairs, in which role she participates in program planning and content development and is in charge of program implementation. She develops and maintains a network of internal and external institutional partners and individual experts to carry out high-quality programs. Lei obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from Zhejiang University, P. R. China, and her Master of Laws degree from the George Washington University Law School.
