Julie joined ISSS Student Team as an F-1 international student advisor in 2026. She brings valuable experience from her previous role as a Faculty/Scholar Program Specialist, where she managed H-1B and J-1 visa requests. Her background also includes higher education administrative experience at Montgomery College. Julie holds a M.S. in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the University of Southern California. Having personally navigated the U.S. immigration system, she offers a deeply empathetic perspective to the students she serves. The first-hand understanding, paired with her cross-cultural awareness and inclusive communication skills, allows her to provide exceptional student support. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and building Legos.
