Julie (Eun Joo) Choe

Julie Choe serves as a program specialist with the ISSS Faculty & Scholar Advising Team. She came to the University of Maryland after serving as an administrative aide in the Department of English and Reading at Montgomery College. She is experienced in working on the administrative side of higher education. Ms. Choe received her M.S. in teaching English as a second language (TESOL) from the University of Southern California. Ms. Choe provides a unique perspective to her customer service skills having moved through the U.S. immigration system herself. In addition to her understanding of the immigrant experience, she brings cross-cultural awareness and inclusive communication skills to the position. When not processing labor condition applications, she is spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and building Legos.
