Joan Huai

Joan is passionate about social justice and making a positive impact in both domestic and global spheres. She obtained her B.S. in Culture and Politics at Georgetown University where she regularly volunteered with the Center for Social Justice and took part in community and student-led activities. She also spent a semester at the National University of Singapore where she focused on women's and gender studies in the Southeast Asian socio-political and historical context. Before joining EA, Joan worked as a program assistant at Social Impact, Inc., a global development management consulting firm. She is a member of the Burmese-American community in Baltimore and volunteers as an interpreter for community members. Joan is excited to be a part of EA in supporting students on their invaluable and meaningful global learning journey.
